They put on a new roof and repaired some interior ceiling damage from leaking water and it looks incredible. I can't say enough good things about this company.

Let’s face it, replacing your roof is not the most fun home improvement project for a homeowner. Unlike a new kitchen or a bathroom renovation, you pay a lot of money for a necessary part of your home’s structure only to have it look… a lot like your house did before.

We, on the other hand, are roofers by trade. We love providing you with the capstone of your home that will not only protect your biggest investment, but ensure you will never have to replace your roof again.

What types of roofs does Crown Remodeling replace?

At Crown Remodeling, we replace both traditional asphalt shingle, slate and metal roofs in addition to flat roofs.

  • Asphalt Shingle Roofs – We use only the best asphalt shingles backed by a 30 year warranty. Made in America and built for thickness and durability, our shingles hold up to wind, hail, sleet, snow and rain.
  • Slate Roofs – Slate roofs are a favorite in high-end Maryland homes for their aesthetic appeal and durability. When properly installed, a slate roof can last from 75 to 125 years. Even though the roof is made from age-old materials, new production techniques have led to a lighter, more durable shingle that is easier to install.
  • Metal Roofs – Like their slate counterpart, metal roofs can last a lifetime if properly installed. Found in a variety of styles, colors and finishes, metal roofs are more versatile than you might think. Best of all, they can be placed over your existing shingles to reduce replacement costs.

Crown Remodeling also specializes in Roof Flashing Repair.

How much does a new roof cost?

The cost of a new roof depends on three factors - the size of the roof, the condition of the roof that is being replaced, and the type of roofing shingle you would like to use. We have replaced roofs for as little as a few thousand dollars and as much as $50,000. Fortunately, we offer free estimates on all roof replacements.

Do you use an asphalt shingle roof cost calculator?

To calculate the number of asphalt shingles, we will need to replace your roof; we will first calculate the square footage of your roof. We then use that measurement to calculate how many squares (bundles) of shingles we will need. We believe in offering you exceptional work at a competitive price. That being said, we also believe in transparency in our estimation process. We will give you the square footage of your roof, the cost per square foot in the shingle you choose, and the estimated time it will take to complete the job in addition to labor costs. We will even clean up after ourselves, leaving your yard in the same condition we found it.

What is the roofing labor cost per square foot?

Roofing labor costs are typically broken down into hours, not square foot. Our crews can typically replace a roof with shingles (1900 sq ft home) in one to two days. At Crown Remodeling, we believe in up-front pricing without any hidden surprises. What you receive in your estimate is what you can expect to pay. With materials and labor, a new roof will typically start at $3,999.

How much does a (standing seam) metal roof cost?

Metal roofs are becoming more and more popular as traditional materials are giving way to metal tiles that provide a level of energy efficiency that is unmatched by other materials. The cost of a metal roof will be determined by the size of the roof, but also by the type of metal shingle you choose to use. Metal panels give homes the traditional "barn" look and are typically less expensive to install due to their size. Metal shingles, on the other hand, give your roof a more traditional look with added fireproof protection and virtually no maintenance involved. Metal shingles also come in a variety of colors and materials that affect the price. The cost to replace a roof on a 2,500 square foot house will typically start at $24,000.

How long does a roof last?

The longevity of your roof will depend on the type of roofing material used, the expertise of your installer, and whether any necessary maintenance has been performed on your roof. Properly installed by an expert hand, architectural asphalt shingles can last as long as 50 years, as can metal roofs and wood shingles, so long as they are properly maintained. Roofs with lesser grade materials or those that have endured a large amount of abuse, temperature fluctuation or storm damage typically last an average of 20 years.

A Warranty You Can Trust

At Crown Remodeling, we do not repair roofs, we provide you with entire roofing systems. That is because we do not do any work that we cannot guarantee. That is why every new Crown Roof is backed by a Lifetime Labor warranty in addition to the warranty offered by the materials manufacturers. Our roofs also come with a 10 year streak warranty to protect your building from unsightly black streaks of algae that are so common in Maryland. If there is a problem with a roof that we replaced, even if your roof is 10 years old, we will fix it at no cost to you. Contact us today for a free no-obligation quote on your roof replacement.
