I have storm damage. What do I do now?

Once you have called your family to let them know you are safe, the next phone call should be to Crown Remodeling. Our inspectors will arrive at your home, ladder in hand, ready to inspect every inch of your property, from roof to ground, for storm damage. After a thorough evaluation is conducted, we will sit with you and explain what we have found. We will also inform you of your rights as an insurance policy holder and list out what the next steps will be. We understand that storms are stressful. We will sit with you while you speak to your insurance company and begin the claims process. With a claim number in hand, we can go to work.

Does Crown Remodeling work with all insurance companies?

As a preferred contractor with all major insurance companies, we have the insurance claim process down to an art. After we conduct an initial inspection and you make a claim with your insurance company, our representative will be present when your insurance company sends an adjuster to your home. We will obtain a copy of their report and match it with our own. Our in-house certified public adjuster works with your insurer to make sure their report is complete and the repairs are covered. Crown Remodeling's public adjuster is also certified in Xactimate, the industry standard estimate software that ensures our bids reflect an insurance company's exacting requirements.

Best of all, the entire process of estimates and negotiations takes place behind the scenes. You will be informed every step of the way, but our professional inspectors, representatives and adjuster will do the hard work for you.

Will I have to pay out of pocket for repairs?

Unlike other contractors who require you to pay for work and then seek reimbursement from your insurance company, we will not require you to pay anything out of pocket except for your insurance deductible. Any costs above and beyond that deductible will be negotiated with your insurance company. As a homeowner, you have rights to replacement or repair of your home’s structures in the event of a storm. Insurers will want to pay as little as possible for as little damage as possible in an effort to make a profit. You want your home repaired to its original condition. You need someone on your side that can help you navigate the world of adjusters, claims and deductibles. Let our experienced, qualified and certified professionals help you bounce back from a storm and leave your home as good as new.
